The first of the day 2 flights, Day 2A/B of the
2015 WSOP Main Event, went into the books today, with Silicon Valley's Anand Amar clinching the chip lead. The flight was called A/B because it brought together the survivors of the first two day 1 flights, Day 1A and Day 1B. Thusly, a total of 470 players showed up at the tables from Day 1A and 1,154 players from Day 1B. William Kakon was the chip leader of the first Day 1 flight: he brought some 152.3k chips into the action.
Hamid Feiz was the Day 1B chip leader, with 182.6k chips to his name. When all was said and done at the end of the first Day 2 though, the one sitting with the largest stack was Amar Anand, who had some 603.5k chips bagged.

Amar accumulated most of his chips towards the end of the day, when he went on a tear, picking up a bunch of chips unchallenged during the last level of action. The first level of the day made about 200 victims. Chris Moneymaker busted during this stage. Other notables who were bounced during this stage of the action were Johnny Chan and Dan Harrington.
James Woods and Jennifer Tilly played on Day 2A/B too, but they too - like the above mentioned pros - ended up biting the dust. Anand said at the end of the day that he found it reassuring to hold the largest stack, and that he felt comfortable navigating the perils of the tournament from top position.
Name players who finished with large stacks were Brian Hastings, Fedor Holz and Jonathan Duhamel.
