FTOPS XXI – Day 10 Report

The 10th day of the FTOPS XXI went into the books on Tuesday, when no fewer than 3 players earned their gold jerseys. Once again, numerous “name” pros saw action, finishing the day with varying degrees of success.
Event #22, the $109 PLO one with Re-buys, was the first one on the menu. A total of 431 players paid out the buy-in for the poker tournament, generating a prize-pool of $150.9k. The initial guarantee of the event was $150k, so it barely managed to cover it.
Josh Weizer was the winner. He took home $37.7k for his efforts, coupled with a gold jersey of course. Weizer made no deals on his way to the top. He defeated BetTheePot heads-up. The runner-up’s share of the loot was $23.3k. Amit Makhija ended up in 3rd place. He picked up $17.3k. Michael Schwartz made the top 10 as well: he took home a little over $10k.

Event #23, the $535 10-Game Mixed Six-max one, saw 364 players belly up to its tables. The resulting prize-pool was a $182k one, the lion’s share of which ended up in Dylan Linde’s possession. Linde bested none other than Luke Schwartz heads-up, on his way to the $43.3k top prize. Schwartz picked up a little over $27k for his second place.
None of the other “name” players managed to achieve anything noteworthy, even though there were plenty of them in the starting field indeed. Ben Lamb played, together with Scott Clements and Chance Kornuth.

Event #24, the $216 NL Holdem Rush Super Turbo one, only took a little over an hour and a half to play down to a winner. The player who took home the bulk of the $167.8k prize-pool was BombOfLuck, who pocketed $29.1k after a three-way deal at the top.
