Full Tilt Poker Launches Adrenaline Rush

Full Tilt Poker, the original inventors of Rush Poker and of fast-folding poker in general, have done it again: the site has just launched a new and even faster form of Rush Poker called Adrenaline Rush. The novelty that Adrenaline Rush brings to Rush Poker consists in the short-handed and short-stacked nature of the Adrenaline Rush tables.
While at first glance the differences seem minor, that is not really the case, Adrenaline Rush is in fact quite radically different from every other poker variant currently available out there. All Adrenaline Rush tables are 4-handed, and the buy-ins are 5-10 BBs big. The betting is capped at 10 BBs and all the action happens before the flop. Most of the time, the only action-options available for players are raising and folding.
The quick fold and the raise max buttons are meant to further speed things up. Quick folding whisks players away from their current table, and moves them to a new one, dealing them into another hand right away.
The raise max option allows them to go in for the maximum allowed amount straight away.

Full Tilt Poker’s Head of Marketing, the Adrenaline Rush tables are meant to quench the thirst for action that most of Full Tilt Poker’s players have. The game is meant to allow players to log even more hands per hour, to win more and to play an even larger number of opponents. The name of the game is a telltale one: it is meant to reflect the emotional state it induces in players.
Whether or not Adrenaline Rush will become a success remains to be seen. The problem is though that like its pre-cursor, it apparently strips even more essential elements off the game. Full Tilt Poker’s developers may yet learn that things can indeed be pushed too far in their quest for online poker novelty.
