Garden City Group Kicks off Full Tilt Petition Process

US online poker players with funds stuck at
Full Tilt Poker have long been treated like a stepchild by the DoJ and the funds administrators tasked with returning the due monies: as European players and those from other parts of the world had long been reimbursed, not much good news surfaced about their
online poker bankrolls. Every now and then, the Garden City Group, the corporate entity tasked with redistributing the money seized from the online poker operator and currently in the DoJ’s possession, let a few crumbs of information drop from the table, according to which, the procedure was indeed moving in the right direction. On Monday and Tuesday, news surfaced that the first concrete steps towards repayment have indeed been taken. GCG have apparently sent out emails to all eligible funds claimants identified based on information from the Full Tilt database, asking them to log on to the GCG website and to start the petition process.
At the site, there’s a special tab in the left-menu which players can use for this purpose. According to the GCG, the petitions for remission will be accepted starting Wednesday and they will continue to be accepted until November 16, 2013, so players will indeed have more than enough time at their disposal to finally get their hands on their own poker bankrolls.
Obviously, some of the emails sent out this time around have bounced. The GCG said they would re-send all those emails within 2-3 days. Those who know they have money to recover and an email to receive and they haven’t yet received it, were asked to allow an additional few days for the email problems to be solved.
Those who have registered at FullTiltPokerClaims.com, but were not identified as potentially eligible petitioners according to the procedure used by GCG, will not receive an email, nor will they be considered eligible to receive any money.
