Get Ready for PokerStars’ King’s Cup!

Even as the WSOP’s November Nine final table is gearing up to finally play down to a winner, preparations are underway in the Czech Republic for a slightly different yet also quite rewarding series of live poker events. The King’s Cup – also sponsored by PokerStars – kicks off on November 6 and wraps up on November 9, offering players the opportunity to play for large prize-pools in a pleasant and high-profile setting, for relatively accessible buy-ins.
This edition of the King’s Cup is built around a Main Event which costs €550, and which offers a guarantee of €200k. The Main Event is far from being the only bright spot of the schedule though: there will be a Eureka PL Omaha Championship event too, also costing €550, as well as a satellite for the upcoming Eureka Poker Tour Main Event, which is set as the opener of the EPT’s Season 11 Prague stop, and which only costs €110.
Sign up to PokerStars now. Online qualifiers for the above said events as well as for EPT Main Events are available at the site all the time.

The King’s Cup also offers PokerStars the opportunity to test-run a few new concepts, like the first ever turbo starting day for one of its live events.
Day 1A and Day 1B of the event will go down with regular, 40-minute levels, but Day 1C – the test day apparently – will feature 15 minute levels. The starting stacks will be the same for all starting days. All survivors will then reconvene to continue the tournament on its Day 2, with regular 40-minute levels again.
In addition to the above detailed oddities, there will be some a couple of events which will start right around midnight, featuring a freeze-out structure. There will be all sorts of cash games running parallel to the tournaments too.
Join PokerStars and become a member of the world’s best online poker destination. Use the site as a springboard to some of the best live poker events available world-wide.
