UltimateBet has been dominating the poker world since its inception 10 years ago, but now it is entering a new phase of existence, as UB.com
Regulars at the online poker site UltimateBet will not be unfamiliar with the reference UB as the abbreviation of the poker giant's full name. Now however, the full name, UltimateBet is a thing of the past, as UltimateBet becomes UB.
The new UB.com website still sports the sleek black and gold theme that characterised the chick site all along, the Raise. Stack. Own. Logo continues to appear under the name, and customer's shouldn't worry as all players' usernames and passwords have passed over cleanly to the new site. So what has changed? Amongst other things, in the re-launch the new software update includes lobby filters for Omaha tables and colour-coded icons making it easier for you to find what you want, and to do it quickly. Furthermore, an additional $1 million of guaranteed prize pool monies has been added to the tournament schedule.
UB is part of the Cereus Network along with sister site Absolute Poker. The CEREUS Network is amongst the largest online poker networks and with the latest change and its US facing agenda; it is set to get even bigger. Paul Leggett, CEO of Tokwiro, owner of both UB and Absolute Poker, commented on the new launch:
“The launch of UB.com represents a turning point for our company. We have assembled a great group
of professionals who are passionate about poker to build the UB brand. Our goal is to create products
and services that poker players really want. We are trying to listen very carefully to both our players and t
he poker community to help us achieve this goal.”
Sounds good to us: Here's to UB and all who play poker in her!
