Good News Canada: Bodog Wants You!

After years of being left out in the proverbial cold, it is all about to change for Canadian online poker players as rumours fly that Bodog is coming to Canada!
Despite the long and illustrious history of Bodog all across the globe, one rather large and important market has always been left out – Canada. It would seem that this is about to change as the word on the grapevine indicates that Bodog.ca is coming to the internet near you!
There has been talk for some time that negotiations were under way for opening Bodog Poker, Casino and Sportsbook to the Canadian Public but most recently those rumours have taken on a solid form hitherto only dreamt of. Keith O'Donnell, head of Bodog Europe, recently commented that:
“Canadian players will be able to access a Canada-specific product suite from www.bodog.ca starting
in the Fall of this year. I aggressively renegotiated the Bodog Europe brand license agreement to acquire
the rights to the Canadian market earlier this year and I would expect the Canadian market – extremely
technologically literate, sports lovers, and a very significant poker base – to be a huge success story in
2009 and 2010.”
Industry experts expect Bodog.ca to be launched on or around September 1st, at which point Canadian online poker players will finally be able to enjoy the joys of the Bodog suit including their Sunday $100k guaranteed tournaments, their Flight Club, the packed tournament schedule, and top quality gaming suite.
