Hansen Lashes Out at SallyWoo

Gus Hansen finished 2013 with a monster-loss of $8.4 million, so with that in mind, it’s quite understandable that he’s a bit jumpy and tilt-prone these days, even though he’s actually up about $115.1k for 2014. Shortly before New Year’s Eve, the Great Dane actually blew up at the high stakes tables at
Full Tilt Poker, while chatting with SallyWoo.
SallyWoo, a profitable player whose actual identity is currently unknown, but who’s known to be a US-based professional who moved to Mexico in the wake of Black Friday to stay online, has managed to push Hansen’s buttons failing to return some $4k to him after the Great Dane got disconnected in a hand the two had played.
The chat-based “conversation” between the two degenerated quickly, straying from the disconnect issues to Hansen accusing SallyWoo that he uses a computer program to aid with his play.
Indeed, SallyWoo did do a few things lately to warrant some suspicion: like his friends, Kyle Ray and Kyle Hendon, he opted out from having his online profits/losses tracked. Hansen apparently thinks that the two Kyles may be a bit short on integrity as well.
The exchange between the two professionals generated quite a storm at various
poker forums, where the entire chat-segment containing the conversation has been copy-pasted, and people were taking sides. Some of them thought Hansen was simply tilting and that he was but a bitter old guy who had lost millions of dollars at a game at which he thought he was the best, but it turned out he was clearly over the hill.
Others confirmed his suspicions, but also pointed it out that without bringing any sort of solid proof to the table in the conversation, he wasn’t doing his or SallyWoo’s image any favors.
SalloWoo has won massive amounts of money from Viktor Blom and from Sanlker this year.
