He Made How Much? Phil Ivey’s Tiltware Earnings Revealed

Phil Ivey may have been hit hard by the post-Black Friday woes bestowed upon
Full Tilt Poker, but he was hurt even more by the divorce fiasco he went through about the same time. At first, the divorce was consummated according to plan, but then, as it came to light that Ivey had tried to influence its outcome through a $5k donation to the campaign of Family Court Judge Bill Gonzalez, all hell broke loose.
Luciaetta Ivey felt cheated out of her ex-husband’s revenues, so she filed a petition in November 2011. Ivey responded to that in December, laying out the details of their settlement.
Part of Luciaetta Ivey’s efforts to obtain information confirming the fair nature of their settlement was a request regarding clarifications concerning Ivey’s Tiltware revenue. It turned out that Ivey had received around $920k a month from Tiltware as his passive interest in the company, money most of which he had obviously acquired during their marriage.
According to some of the court documents which have been revealed to the public, Luciaetta had received a $180k/month alimony from her husband’s Tiltware payments, up until April 2011, when the flow of dough obviously stopped for Ivey as well as for his ex-wife.
Among the reasons Luciaetta has cited for her questioning of the settlement’s good faith, was that she has never had any idea where Phil’s money came from and where it went.
As the two spouses duke it out over the spoils though, for members of the
online poker community, especially Full Tilt’s US players who have still not received a cent back from the operator, it is becoming increasingly clear that they’re the ones footing the bill. Where did all those missing player funds go? In light of these facts, some of them definitely ended up in Phil Ivey’s pockets.
