Hellmuth Takes Down Bracelet #14

Phil Hellmuth has been on a quest to add another bracelet to his trophy-case for quite a while, and though last year success had eluded him, the
2015 WSOP brought along his record-breaking 14th bracelet. The poker brat won event #17 of the Series, the $10k Razz Championship tournament, scoring only his second-ever non-Holdem bracelet. In the end, Hellmuth said he had kept his focus on playing as well as possible without actually paying attention to the final goal. The tactic obviously worked for him and now the Brat has even more to brag and to feel proud about.
It was definitely not smooth sailing for Hellmuth though: championship events always attract star-studded starting fields and the one he had to dispose of heads-up was none other than fellow bracelet winner Mike Gorodinsky. Hellmuth ended up with $271.1k to go with his new bling, while Gorodinsky had to settle for $167.1k.

Another player who had a 6-figure payday in the event was 3rd place finisher Adam Owen, who walked away with $104.9k when all was said and done.
Despite the 14 bracelets he has to his name and despite not being coy at all about referring to his wins whenever possible, Hellmuth doesn't actually keep these bracelets in a trophy-case. He is in fact well known for donating them to various friends and family members. He's already made it clear that he would give this latest bracelet away too, to the family of the recently deceased Dave Goldberg.
At 14 and counting, Hellmuth still has lofty goals bracelets-wise. He doesn't plan on stopping short of the 24 mark.
