High stakes online poker action report

Last week has been an excellent one for online poker in general and especially eventful for those railbirding the high stakes tables. There was so much high stakes action going on, that Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius, who have played around 5,000 hands of the set 50,000 which Dwan’s $1 million challenge consists in, have suspended the hostilities to get in on the action, although that may not have been such a wise choice on durrrr’s part. While he was more than 100k up on Antonius in the challenge match, he lost no less than $1.1 Million to Phil Ivey in a PL Omaha game. Please note that Ivey is one of the players who have signaled their intention to take Dwan on in his $1 million challenge once the Patrik Antonius deal is done, so this may well be a prelude of things to come.
Phil Galfond, known online as OMGClayAiken, the only player excluded from Dwan’s $1 million challenge has also had a great week. He played in $500/$1,000 games, shorthanded ones as well as full ring ones and generated a net profit of about $514,000.
One of the biggest pots Galfond raked in came from a player called papa ninja, who shoved a bunch of money in on a flopped set vs Galfond’s Broadway straight in a PL Omaha hand.
Hac Dang has been doing exceptionally well that same day, closing his poker session with a $375,000 profit.
A mysterious online player known only as _FullFlush1_has made a habit of raiding the high stakes poker tables hit and run style. Last week he struck again, and played 218 hands on $500/$1,000 blinds to eventually take off with around half a million in winnings. Nobody really knows who _FullFlush1_ is, although some people speculate he may be Luke Schwartz, a professional player frmo the UK who has been dominating $25/$50 and $50/$100 for a while.
Whoever he is, he sure managed to take some money off Dwan and Antonius, making his presence felt not only through his actions but his smack-talking table-chat poker game as well.
Mark Vos, who usually plays online poker on around 50BB stacks on $500/$1,000 managed to earn $800,000 at the tables last week, a big share of which came from David Benefield in a PL Omaha hand.
