A €2 million prize pool isn’t something to joke about, and InterPoker is deadly serious about its qualifiers for the €2 million Irish Poker Open to be held in April.
The Irish Poker Open is the highlight of European poker tournaments; last year it attracted 708 participants and the first place winner walked away with a cash prize of €600,000. This year is expected to live up to the reputation that this poker tournament has deservedly earned over the last 20 years, and is offering a probable prize pool of €2 million. The event will be televised and held at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin from April 22nd to April 25th, and whilst every-one is welcome to pay the €3,500 entry fee, members of the InterPoker online poker community are also invited to take part in qualifiers for an Irish Poker Open package.
The process of winning an InterPoker Irish Poker Open package starts with daily tournaments. The Irish Open Daily and the Irish Open Re-buy tournaments alternate every hour at the online poker site, and with entries of €4 + €0.40 and €2 + €0.20 respectively these tournaments are truly available to all members of the online poker community. Both of the daily tournaments lead into the Irish Open Weekly with its direct buy-in of €35 + €3. The Irish Open Weekly tournaments run at InterPoker each Sunday at 17:00 GMT. These weekly tournaments lead directly into the Irish Open Final. The Irish Open Final has a direct buy-in of €320 + €30 at the online poker site and the next one will run on March 13th at 17:00 GMT.
