iPoker not about to ditch Tain poker rooms

The rumor that iPoker is about remove all the online poker sites linked to Tain from its network has probably been fed by the past problems the network had with its Tain sites regarding network policy. Most Tain sites had offered rakeback before they joined the iPoker network, and were forbidden to do so once they got incorporated into the Playtech iPoker fold.
NoIQ Poker in particular has taken some serious flak for its rakeback policy and was suspended from the network for about a week in 2007. Their VIP program (which was essentially a form of rakeback) had attracted negative attention from iPoker on account of several factors, none of which were directly associated with NoIQ Poker. On one hand, some of their affiliates kept on advertising the VIP program, despite being told not to do so. On the other hand, out of the huge network of rakeback sites NoIQ used to work with before the iPoker merger, some failed to remove the site from among the deals offered.
Since iPoker’s policy was that none of its member sites could even be featured on websites with “rake” in their URL, NoIQ got roped on the matter. This iPoker network policy is an extremely questionable one: websites with no affiliate links to any of the iPoker rooms (merely providing information on them in the form of reviews) were also abusively threatened to remove all iPoker related content.
Since rumors about a possible exclusion of Tain sites from the network persisted, both ChiliPoker and NoIQ Poker found it necessary to come forth with statements debunking the speculations.
ChiliPoker – through its CEO and head of poker – has affirmed that all was well in its relationship with iPoker, and the move that might’ve started the rumors was merely a change in network policy ChiliPoker was actually looking forward to. Besides iterating the fact that ChiliPoker was not merely an iPoker skin, Alexandre Dreyfus and Severin Rasset have also affirmed that they were quite certain their site’s relationship with iPoker would continue for several years to come.
NoIQ Poker also released a statement to put an end to rumors, making it clear that NoIQ as well as the other Tain sites (Carlos Poker, Cardoza, Chili and the others) would remain in the iPoker network.
