The ISPT (International Stadiums Poker Tour) has started out as an extremely ambitious project, but the sheer constraints of reality have since forced the organizers to water down the concept several times. Eventually, a reasonable format was reached, and it now looks like the event is indeed well on-track to have its live portion kick off on May 31.
The Main Event is set to run till June 5, but that’s not all there is to the ISPT. As the Main Event was watered down, the whole thing got gradually turned into a multi-day poker festival rather than a single monster event, featuring several events with different buy-in levels.
While the Main Event costs €3k to enter directly, players will get a chance to earn much cheaper seats through the €220 ISPT Mega Satellite. The Mega Satellite is the cheapest event of the ISPT and it will offer an impressive number of 20 €3k Seats to the Main Event. It will be the first event of the series, kicking off on May 31.
The APAT Masters features a €220 buy-in as well. It starts on June 1. In addition to the various
poker tournaments, each and every day there will be a €275 NL Holdem Turbo event to keep the crowds busy and entertained. While the overwhelming majority of ISPT side events will indeed be NL Holdem ones, PLO players will be tossed a juicy bone too on June 4, when a €550 PLO event kicks off at 3 p.m.
The true highlight of the side-event selection is the €5,250 High Roller though, which features a
NL Holdem format too and which will offer high-profile competitors the chance to do battle for an outstanding prize-pool. The last day of the ISPT (June 5) will feature a single €275 NL Holdem Turbo event.
