Jamie Gold signs with Poker Icons for 2009 WSOP

Jamie Gold – still the beneficiary of the world’s largest single live poker payday, has parted ways with Aced.com – a poker site with which he had had an endorsement deal – a few days ago. Apparently the cause of the breakup was that Aced.com broke the provisions of at least one contract between the parties and failed to pay Gold for advertising services he had provided for the site on a number of occasions.
Ever since his $12 million WSOP 2006 cash, Jamie Gold’s poker career has been struggling. Apparently, Lady Luck is keen on balancing the situation and getting all the credit she’d given Gold in 2006 back in several smaller installments.
Gold’s fortunes turned southward right after his historic win, when he got sued by alleged partner Crispin Leyser. An endorsement deal with Bodog followed, but that too was short-lived as the champion apparently failed to live up to the expectations of the site.

Only a few days after his break-up with Aced.com, Jamie Gold signed with Poker Icons, a poker agency founded in 2006. The company currently offers player agency, consulting services, marketing services and poker productions. An ex-talent agent himself, Gold said that his relationship with Poker Icons seemed like the perfect fit, and that he was looking forward to represent the company’s interests at the 2009 WSOP.

Many people consider Gold one of the least popular WSOP winners ever, but say what you like about him, one thing is certain: he is one of the most philanthropic WSOP Main Event winners too. Word has it, that since his 2006 Big Dance win, he’s raised more than $100 million for various charity causes. He’s currently set to play host for the Sunflower Children Charity Poker Tournament, which takes place on May 17th, at the Cannes Film Festival. The event is sponsored by Everest Poker. The winner of the event will get poker coaching lessons from Gold and he will win a WSOP package as well. Gold says that he’s thankful for being able to make a difference while doing what he likes best: playing poker.

/ Problem unravelled, right?' Teach Yourself on the Risks Perhaps . We were there for an hour and a half. Additionally if you're sued by a wroekr for neglectfulness, then you're seriously hamstrung in any legal defense you employ because your lawyer will struggle to use many common law defenses that are generally vital in protecting carelessness suits.
