Ladies’ Final Table Reached on Day 33 of 2014 WSOP

The 33rd day of the 2014 WSOP was a truly eventful one. As the Ladies’ $10k NL Holdem Championship event played down to its official, 9-handed final table, no fewer than two players picked up their bracelets in two other events.
Of an initial starting field of 793 players, 9 ladies remained in the books on Day 33 of the Series, with Mikiyo Aoki holding the largest stack going into the final stretch of the
poker tournament.
Aoki finished with 742k chips to her name, enjoying a rather massive advantage over second-place woman Meikat Siu, who had 460k chips bagged.
Patricia Cahill and Stacey Sullivan made the final table as well, but they will both be starting the last day of the event with short-stacks of 66k and 64k chips respectively.

The first bracelet of the day went to David Miscikowski, the winner of event #49, the $5k NL Holdem one. Out of an initial starting field of 696 players, Miscikowski and Hungary’s Norbert Szecsi emerged to duke it out heads-up. Szecsi was playing for his second WSOP gold, as he had locked up his first one last year, in one of the $1k
NL Holdem events.
The final hand of the event saw Szecsi’s pocket 4s fall to Miscikowski’s pocket 7s. The winner’s share of the prize-pool was $719.7k, while the runner-up had to settle for $444.4k.
The other bracelet of the day was awarded by event #52, the $10k Limit Holdem championship one. David Olson triumphed in this one, besting Mikail Tulchinskiy heads-up and picking up the $303.9k top prize. The runner-up’s share of the loot was $187.8k.
