There’s nothing foolish about the April Fools celebrations at Mansion Poker; in fact if you’re wise you could stand to benefit handsomely from them, and have loads of fun too.
Traditionally April Fools Day is a day when hoaxes and pranks are played on all, but at Mansion Poker this year, whilst there’s plenty of fun to be had, there’s some serious money to be won too. Rather than playing a trick on their customers, Mansion Poker is choosing to mix things up a little with their April Fools Reverse Tournament which is sure to be unlike any tournament you’ve ever played in.
The April Fools Reverse Tournament at Mansion Poker is going to be turning all common poker wisdom on its head, where loosing means winning and winning means loosing. If you’re confused, don’t worry; it will all become clear. The Reverse Tournament is exactly that – it reverses the results. Rather than the top players getting the payout, in the Reverse Poker Tournament the bottom players get the payouts, or something like that. Depending on how many players are taking part in the tournament, the payout percentages will vary. However as an example, in a tournament that between 51 and 75 players are taking part in the first place winner will get 4% of the prize-pool, whilst the eighth place winner will get the lion’s share of 32%. In a tournament with between 76 and 100 players the biggest winner will be the 10th place position winner who will get 30% of the prize pool whilst the first place winner will get just 2.5% of the prize pool. This is certainly going to be a tournament with a twist; and well worth the $5 + $0.50 buy-in.
In addition to the buy-in money the prize pool will benefit from a boost of $500 provided by Mansion Poker. Not only that, but Mansion Poker is also making April 1st a double points day. This means that Mansion Poker players can earn double points on real money games played at the site between 00:00 and 23:59 GMT on April 1st. – No joke!
