Multiple-Bracelet Winners at WSOP 2009

There are 2 young men who are already counting their lucky stars, or are they checking to see how many there might still be? With 25 events of the 2009 WSOP finished, and 23 winning names, we don't need to look far for those 2 young men.

When John Brock Parker dropped out of college 10 years ago to pursue a professional poker career, most did not support him. However, having made his name in the online poker world, all those doubters have been proven well and truly wrong as Parker put his 2nd bracelet of the series under his belt – and the series wasn't even half way through.  Four days was all it took for Parker to take down both a six-handed limit, and a six-handed no-limit event, winning him in total nearly $800,000 and making him the first multiple-bracelet winner of WSOP 2009.

Sadly for Parker, he wasn't to be alone in that title for long. Yesterday Phil Ivey put away over $220,000 as winner of the $2,500 Omaha/Seven card Stud HL/8 or Better, having previously won event #8, $2,500 Deuce to Seven Draw Lowball.

With 22 events still to go in what is shaping up to be a very exciting WSOP, there is plenty of opportunity for the already one-time winners, to make it two, or even for these guys to make it a hat-trick! Needless to say, we'll keep you posted.
