New UltimateBet Series and Site

Posted by: James Carter. - Thu, 2009-10-22 14:44

UltimateBet has announced a live tournament series and a German website to go with it – UltimateBet.de is the one stop answer to central European poker.

Is it a website? Is it a tournament series? No, it's both. UltimateBet is launching a new live tournament series to be played out in and around Germany and the Czech Republic, and they've launched an information website to go along with it.

The first of the new series tournaments is going to get underway in just a couple of days, on October 24th in Cologne. The event is open only to UltimateBet players and therefore has a very low buy-in of just €25. The next event in the series is set to be held in Aulendorf, Germany on November 11th. The first place prize for the October 24th tournament is rather unusual, but equally fabulous; a Mercedes Smart Car. The November tournament prizes have not yet been confirmed, however the site will is likely to be throwing seats for their weekly $100,000 Guaranteed tournament into the pot along with a bunch of other UltimateBet vouchers.

The idea behind the new series and the website UltimateBet.de is to show German players the love. As the Marketing Manger for UltimateBet in Germany, Stephan Reschke commented:

"We want our German players to feel as welcomed and as much a part of the Ultimate Bet community as their North American poker peers, and our live events will help create familiarity with the UB brand and the company that we are today, with an emphasis on security, safety, and the welfare of our players”

In addition to the one off tournaments, monthly tournaments will also be held at the Casino Flamingo in the Czech Republic with guaranteed prize pools of $10,000 each.
