Greenstein Takes Event #26 Bracelet

Overcoming a top-flight field of players including a Razz expert and one of the best known Vegas Gamblers, Event #26,  $1,500 Seven Card Razz, finally went to Greenstein to give him his 3rd bracelet win.

The final table saw Mike Wattel, who has had 3 top 10 finishes in this event since 2000, add another one to the list as he went out in 8th place, and the notorious Archie “The Greek” Karas go out in 7th. In quick succession of each other, Joseph Michael and Brandon Leeds were sent to the rail, with mostly Chris Viox doing the eliminating. Next to go was Mark Tenner.

It was Viox who was very much leading the way until on a big hand Viox showed 9-7-4-3-A only to be beat by Greenstein's 8-6-3-2-1, giving Greenstein the lead with 661,000. This was the beginning of the end, within an hour, Greenstein controlled 73% of the chips and Viox and Chris Klodnicki were left to battle for the second place in heads-up play – Klodnicki clinched it.

Klodnicki played well in the heads-up match that lasted for two hours, but there was little long term hope. The final hand had Klodnicki go all in on Third Street and Greenstein calling. Klodnicki was served up A-K-3-K-8-6-3 and Greenstein 4-9-A-J-4-9-7, making Greenstein the 2008 WSOP $1,500 Seven Card Razz winner taking with him his 4th bracelet and $157,619.
