It is official: Iron Duke Poker has just signed its first in-house poker professional. Jennifer Leigh is something of a poker celebrity already. She is an avid online player, and she took part in GSN’s Poker Royale when she was 21, proving her worth to some of the world’s most respected players like Dan Harrington and John Cernuto. She’s also appeared in Playboy Magazine.
Besides poker she also plays World Of Warcraft and is generally attracted to everything tied to online and computer gaming. She says Iron Duke is the online poker room which suits her playing style and personality best. There are countless poker variants offered at Iron Duke, even some of the more exotic ones like Triple Draw (2-7 and A-5) and Badugi. Mixed games are also available. For someone like Jennifer who loves a challenge and above all loves to play different poker variants, Iron Duke does indeed seem to be the right place.
While most online poker pros only play high stakes games, Jennifer has made a pledge that she would play low stakes/limits too, because this would allow her to mingle with the crowd better on one hand, and it would keep her from becoming isolated on the other. Fully aware of the different types of challenges that low limit games pose, Jennifer has declared she was fully prepared for the task ahead.
Her relationship with Iron Duke will also allow her to play in more live events, something that she is admittedly looking forward to. She missed playing in the WSOP on account of jury-duty that she had to perform in Delaware. Therefore, her very first appearance in Iron Duke’s colors will be at the WSOPE, in London.
Even though she cherishes the opportunity to play live representing Iron Duke, Jennifer stays true to her first love: online poker. An incurable action junkie, the fast paced ‘turbo’ environment that online poker provides is where she really thrives.
As far as live play goes, she is still in the process of figuring out her comfort-zone. Asian tournaments could be high-up on her list of priorities because of the supposedly light competition they provide.
