Omaha players of Americas Cardroom listen up: The Beast is no longer just for those who play holdem! The progressive rake race is open to you too!
For those who play holdem The Beast has been a major attraction at Americas Cardroom for a while now, but it’s been at the exclusion of Omaha players. Not any longer however as the on line poker site opens up The Beast in all its glory to Omaha players.
For those who are not familiar with The Beast, it is essentially a rake race except for that it runs on a progressive format, meaning the more people that play the bigger the prize pool will be. For this reason the fact that Americas Cardroom has introduced Omaha tables to The Beast is as important to those who play holdem as to those who play Omaha.
The Beast works on a monthly basis with all Jackpot Tables contributing to the progressive jackpot. Players earn points for their play on those tables which contribute to their standing on the leaderboard. The value of The Beast of course varies from month to month, as it does from minute to minute, but for the most part the revolutionary on line poker progressive leaderboard ends up with a six figure prize pool each month.
Basically, Omaha players will receive exactly the same experience as holdem players in the rake race; there is just one exception however. Holdem players pay a Bad Beat Jackpot fee in addition to the progressive fee – this isn’t the case with Omaha players. So on the one hand Omaha players aren’t eligible for a Bad Beat Jackpot, but on the other hand they don’t have to pay for one!
