It’s a points race, but it’s progressive; this is The Beast of all monthly Jackpots now running at Americas Cardroom.
Many on line poker sites run monthly races. Some on line poker sites run progressive jackpot tournaments. Very few however combine the two concepts, but that’s exactly what Americas Cardroom is doing right now with The Beast.
To get The Beast started, Americas Cardroom threw $60,000 into the pot, but the prize pool didn’t stay at that figure for long as thousands of players flocked to play online poker for money at The Beast tables in order to take part in this phenomena. Players play at jackpot tables, from which a jackpot fee is taken; this is the progressive part of The Beast. From each jackpot table a sum is taken which contributes towards The Beast monthly jackpot. Of course the more people that play online poker for money on these tables, the higher that progressive jackpot will become. As well as contributing to the pot, Americas Cardroom players will also earn points from every jackpot table they play in. The number of points earned depends on the level of the table, but all players at a table will earn the same number of points irrelevant of how they do in the tournament.
It isn’t just the pot that is progressive in The Beast, also the number of payout positions is progressive. The higher the prize pool is, the more players Americas Cardroom will pay out to; equally the bigger the pot, the bigger the first place prizes.
In addition to the cash payout, the Monthly Tournament Race also allows players the opportunity to win a place in the Punta Cana Poker Classic and the Latin Series of Poker. Americas Cardroom will be handing out seats in satellite tournaments for these poker tournaments as part of the The Beast prizes.
