Online Poker Action – Andrew Grimason Biggest Winner

The last few weeks saw plenty of dog-eat-dog
online poker action at PokerStars’ high stakes tables. Two players emerged as clear contenders in the biggest winner of the year race, but given that it’s only spring, there’s still time for others to join them at the top of the pops. The two said players are Andrew Grimason, who managed to finish last week with the largest profit and Ben Sulsky, who is the current to-date leader, with more than $1.7 million in online profits. Grimason’s latest thunder-run put him over the $1.5 million mark too.
A player known as “!P0krparty¡” – who is also a familiar contender for those who follow the high stakes action – has joined the fray, playing a massive amount of hands last week. He logged more than 30k hands, spread over 269 sessions, generating a not too shabby profit of $204.7k. Still, despite the impressive nature of his run, he only finished 5th on the weekly leader board.
Ben Tollerene was the one responsible for most of the money the top winners took down. The biggest loser of the week dropped $336k over 89 different sessions. Indeed, nothing seemed to click for Tollerene last week. He was joined at the top of the losers’ list by Tsubi87 – himself a massive contributor with over $250k dropped, and Benny Spindler. Randy Lew didn’t do much better either. Viktor Blom managed to lose around $181k too.
“!P0krparty¡” kicked off the week by putting in a 19-hour long session on Monday, at the end of which he found himself $145k richer. That made him the biggest winner of the day.
On Tuesday, it was Daniel Cates’ turn to hog the limelight. He booked a $108k profit. On Wednesday, “!P0krparty¡” was back in the mix, and he yet again struck gold, taking around $284k from Phisherman36 in a heads-up bout.
Grimason added some $298k to his bankroll to become the biggest winner of the week.
