This week, the high stakes
online poker cash tables at PokerStars generated a few interesting results. Gus Hansen, the Great Dane who hadn’t really been able to log any sort of winnings lately, finally managed to get back on track. The other headline-worthy development was Ben Sulsky’s push to dethrone EireAbu from the top of the best 2012 online cash earners’ list. Sulsky wasn’t among the biggest winners of the week, but his $137.7k haul was enough to put him past EireAbu by vaulting him to $2,678,174 for the year.
The biggest winner of the week was Gus Hansen, who generated $474k in profits, playing 103 different sessions and logging 12.6k hands.
The second biggest winner was Ben Tollerene, who found himself $454.4k above the red line for the week. Terje Augdal banked $449.7k, finishing the week in a respectable 3rd place.
The biggest loser this time around was Patpatman, who dropped an astonishing $565.7k. Viktor Blom made the losers’ list yet again, and although he ‘only’ lost $336.6k this time, when added to his last week’s loss of $563k, one can’t help but wonder whether the Swedish wonderkid has any money left in his bankroll or not.
Hansen’s first major comeback-push came on Thursday, when he logged a $149.5k win. Had it not been for mtvdeuem’s $152.2k profit, he would’ve clinched the biggest winner of the day title too.
On Friday, he continued right where he’d left off. He took down $164.2k that time, locking up the biggest winner of the day spot and giving his bankroll yet another much-needed boost.
Hansen’s biggest pot of the week came from Patpatman at the end of a $100/$200 PLO hand, and it weighed in at a staggering $207.7k.
The two players mainly responsible for Viktor Blom’s woes this week were Terje Augdal and Ilari Sahamies. The two of them finished Tuesday with massive profits of $347.1k and $274.7k respectively, money which mostly came from Blom.
