Online poker action – Bleznick wins big

The approach of the WSOP, the prime poker event of the year, has made many of the nosebleed stakes regulars take a break from Full Tilt Poker’s tables. A handful of dedicated pros stuck around though, and thanks to them, these last few days didn’t go down uneventful in the online poker world.
Di Dang and Jared Bleznick were the headliners of the last few days, but Gus Hansen, David Benyamine and Isaac Haxton saw some action too.
Jared Bleznick was the biggest winner of the week. Bleznick is not exactly a true blue-blood in the sense that he plays slightly lower stakes than Tom Dwan or some of the other maniacs, but that didn’t prevent him from booking one of his most successful days as a Full Tilt player. His profits broke the $195k mark, as the $200/$400 cap PLO tables seemed to provide the perfect roaming grounds for him.

He took on “thecranium” in a 1,046 hand session, which resulted in a $174k win for him. The capped nature of the game meant that pots would not be able to exceed a certain maximum limit. Well, of the 34 pots that did reach the maximum, only 8 went to thecranium, the rest all ended up in Bleznick’s pockets. To call such a run a dominating one, would obviously be a major understatement.

With most of the big boys still missing, the $200/$400 capped PLO tables continued to provide the bulk of the high stakes action, later in the week too. David Benyamine, Gus Hansen and Di Dang got sucked into the flow too, matching wits with Josh Arieh, Niki Jedlicka and Jared Bleznick. This time, it was Di Dang who walked away with the biggest profit, pocketing around $150k. He took down several capped pots, one of them a 3-way one against Hansen and Jedlicka.
David Benyamine also etched his name onto the list of capped PLO winners, but he snuck in a few uncapped $100/$200 hands too. At the end of it all, Benyamine walked away a $91k winner. His biggest uncapped pot was a $44k one, which he managed to steal from Brian Townsend and David Oppenheim.
In the meantime, at the $100/$200 NL Holdem tables, Isaac Haxton dropped $128k to KTPOKP, a new face at the said limit.
