Online Poker Action – Blom Loses Big Yet Again

Full Tilt Poker pro Viktor Blom has been getting acquainted with the top of the biggest weekly losers’ list lately, and this week, his woes continued. Shortly after the line was drawn on last week’s high stakes action, Blom returned to the tables and he locked up with Alex Millar again, dropping around $771.5k to him. With such a start to his week, it didn’t exactly come as a surprise that eventually he ended up the biggest loser yet again, dropping a mind-boggling total of $1.36 million to various opponents.
To “achieve” the deed, he needed 12,031 hands spread over 210 sessions. To illustrate the true depths of the Swede’s meltdown, it’s worth noting that he lost twice as much as the second biggest loser, his fellow Full Tilt Poker pro and losers’ list staple Gus Hansen. Hansen lost $666.8k, and quite frankly, at this stage no one really knows how he still has money left to play on. Everything accounted for, the Great Dane is about $4.3 million under the red line for the year.

At the other end of the spectrum, Alex Millar, who had finished the previous week with the biggest profit, finished this week with a handsome profit as well: $451.4k, which he logged over the course of just 556 hands in 4 different sessions.
The biggest winner of the week was Isaac Haxton, who finished a handsome $655.7k above the red line. Phil Galfond did extremely well too: he was the second biggest winner, with $525.1k in profits. The break was an extremely welcome one for Galfond, given the fact that he had finished the previous week with a $485.5k loss. Haxton on the other hand has been profitable for quite a while and this week’s haul pushed his last two weeks’ profits above the $1 million mark.
