Online Poker Action – Blom Returns to Full Tilt’s Tables

Viktor Blom, the protagonist of many a 6-figure swing at the high stakes
online poker tables, had been largely absent from the action last week, that is before he decided to stage a quick comeback on Thursday. Indeed, it was peculiar to see him stay away from the nosebleed stakes tables, but on Thursday he may have revealed a new approach to the game: the time-honored hit and run. He showed up and logged 782 hands, after which he faded back into the background, with a $468k profit in his pockets.
The majority of his 782 hands were played against German player Sanlker, at the $500/$1k NL Holdem tables. In the beginning of his online poker career, Blom was indeed a NL Holdem player, and he has apparently still retained the knack for the game. Everyone should definitely think twice before taking him on in his own element.
After his
NL Holdem rampage, Blom moved to the $1.5k/$3k Triple Draw tables, where he amassed about $30k in profits before calling it the day.
Everything accounted for, Thursday turned out to be a really good day for the Swede. He wasn’t the only one who managed to reach into the cookie-jar although he was indeed one of the most profitable.
Other players who finished the day with handsome profits were Denoking (who finished $518k above the red line), and Sami Kelopuro, who also took down more than $100k.
Patrik Antonius also saw action and he too finished among the winners, around $91k above the red line.
Unlike the other “name” players mentioned above, Daniel Cates chose to play at
PokerStars, and it turned out to be a great choice for him. He finished the day with a profit of $114k.
Overall, Blom is the biggest cash game winner at Full Tilt Poker this year, with a profit of $2.8 million.
