A couple of days ago, we filled you in on how Victor Blom dropped more than $1.4 million at the high stakes online tables at
Full Tilt Poker. On Tuesday, he was obviously on the warpath to recover at least some of those losses and as it usually happens, instead of recouping money, he left some more in the middle. The beneficiary of his latest meltdown was Alex Millar, who happened to be in the right spot at the right time and happened to get lucky enough to avoid one of Blom’s legendary upswings too.
Overall, Blom’s recovery attempt lasted for 12 hours and he dropped $329k. The Alex Millar fiasco was just one stop of the losing spree. Besides Millar, the Swede donated some money to Ben Tollerene, Kyle Fray and SallyWoo too. He even managed to include Niklas Heinecker into the spending spree.
It all began with a cap PLO match-up against Tollerene, which saw Blom lighten his bankroll by about $298k (the blinds were $500/$1k). He then dropped $100k to Kyle Fray and SallyWoo combined, at FL Omaha Hi/Lo tables and then moved on to spread some love (to the tune of $61k) to Niklas Heinecker at the NL Holdem tables.
Only after all these loss did Millar get to dip his fingers into the cookie jar too. Their match lasted a massive 1.2k hands, and it all started out with Blom building up a $600k lead. Needless to say, before it was all over, he gave all those profits back, adding a good chunk of his own money to go with it.
The biggest pot of the match-up tipped the scales at $325.6k and it ended up in Millar’s possession. Everything added to the tally, Millar found himself $247.6k in the black, becoming the biggest winner of the day.
