Online Poker Action – Full Tilt’s Professionals Dominate

Gus Hansen has long suffered as the biggest online poker cash game loser of the year, but Lady Luck seems to have finally gotten over the grudge she bore against him. A couple of days ago we featured a piece about Hansen grabbing some $1.57 million in just 19 hours of play. While some of that money did indeed come from his fellow Full Tilt Professional, Viktor Blom, and while Blom did finish that day as the biggest loser, he managed to bounce back later in a rather spectacular fashion no less.
It only took Hansen 4,381 hands to log his spectacular profit, Blom on the other hand had to work harder: he put in 11,775 hands spread over 91 different sessions. In the end however, despite all the variance and adversity, he ended up with a $1,599,000 profit.
Other winners were Trueteller, whose profit of $394.5k was dwarfed by the Professionals, and Kyle Hendon, who took down a healthy $389.9k.

The other end of the spectrum was spearheaded by Phil Galfond, who lost around $738k. Kyle Ray and Tom Dwan were both among the losers as well. Ray dropped around $720.2k, while Dwan shed $623.6k. Other players who ended up below the red line were Alex Kostritsyn and Hac Dang.

Friday was definitely Viktor Blom’s day. The Swede played at the $500/$1k Capped PLO tables at Full Tilt Poker and he took on Ben Tollerene at first. The fray was later joined by Phil Ivey, Hac Dang and Tom Dwan. To make a long story short: Blom dominated everyone and took various large amounts of money from each and every one of the players involved. He took $200k from Dwan as well as from Dang, and Ivey “contributed” another $100k.
