Online Poker Action – Hansen Loses Again

Despite the fact that the ongoing Aussie Millions have had most of the “name” players tied up at the live tables these days, there was some
online poker action as several players experienced 6 and even 7-figure swings. The bulk of the online cash game action was yet again focused on Full Tilt Poker, where Alex Kostritsyn finished with a $1.2 million profit. Gus Hansen, the Great Dane who has become famous for registering one huge loss after the other on a seemingly endless bankroll lately, has stayed true to his losing ways, dropping $376k again.
His above said profits have made Kostritsyn the biggest winner of the week by quite a respectable margin in fact. He logged 9.9k hands, spread over 52 different sessions for it.
A player known as “kipu” was the second biggest winner, with a $454.3k profit. The interesting thing about kipu’s run was that he actually managed to take money away from Kostritsyn. Other players who managed to score profitable weeks were “andrewkirk” (who took home $376.9k) and Ronny Kaiser, who made the winners’ list yet again, with $316.9k to his name.
Wherever there are winners, there have to be losers as well: this week, the list of shame was spearheaded by patpatpanda, usually one of the winners, who dropped $554.2k this time around. A player known as “punting-peddler” lost more than $500k as well. Compared to these guys, Gus Hansen’s losses weren’t even that menacing, however the Great Dane still managed to shed more than $375k. Thus far this year, Hansen has lost around $695k and that’s just his online “yield”. He dropped some monies in live
poker tournaments as well, busting out of some major high rollers and generally having a tough time at the green felt.
