Online Poker action – Hansen rolls on

Gus Hansen has been on an impressive roll lately, and he’s far from cooling off. Last week, he kicked things off with a stellar performance over the previous weekend. The momentum he’d gathered then carried over to the midweek too, as he managed to score a $400K profit over a few days again.
Scott Palmer seems to be one of Hansen’s favorite targets lately, and last week, he yet again got what he wanted from him. The two played at the $500/$1,000 PLO tables, and some pretty massive pots went down during the confrontation. One of the biggest pots of the bout started out with a couple of raises and re-raises. By the time the 10h,6c,8h hit the flop, there were quite a few chips in the middle already. Hansen made a shrewd check after which all hell broke loose, and all the chips ended up in the middle.
Palmer then tabled J,Q,A,10 against Hansen’s 2,9,5,7, which had flopped the nut straight. Despite being in excellent shape, Hansen then proceeded to lose both halves of the pot, the first time to a Full House (two Js fell) and the second time to a runner-runner flush.
Hansen did strike back later though, taking a $286k pot off Palmer, after he made a two pair on both turns and rivers to scoop the goods.

Isildur1’s presence at PokerStars has not only attracted other established competitors to the site’s cash game tables, it has apparently created new top-notch high stakes players as well. Also11 is one of these players, and last week, he was the driving force behind the high stakes cash game action at PokerStars. He locked horns with Scott Palmer and even though he did well, his balance turned south later on, in different confrontations, so at the end of it all he finished on top of the week’s list of biggest losers.
Ben Sulsky and David Oppenheim did well though, as they both finished with 6-figure profits to join the winners’ list.
