When it comes to $1 million+ swings, it is usually
Full Tilt Poker pro Viktor Blom who steals the majority of the headlines, but this week, it was Niklas Heinecker’s turn to step up to the plate. Heinecker, who has earned his stripes back in June, by winning the Guangdong Asia Millions, for a prize of $4.46 million, put together an excellent run which ended in a profit of $1.89 million, for which he played 4,856 hands through a total of 37 sessions.
proudlikeagoat made the winner’s list too, albeit his score was nowhere near Heinecker’s: he finished $436.2k above the red line. Other winners were Alex Millar and Gus Hansen. The Great Dane, who usually ends up on the other side of the winners/losers list, but who this time managed to amass about $254.5k above the red line.
Kyle Hendon finished with a profit as well: he pocketed $223k this week.
Wherever there are spectacular winners, there have to be losers as well. This week, the losers’ list was headlined by MalACEsia, who dropped more than $1 million over 25 sessions totaling just 2,526 hands.
Other big losers were Call_911 (who dropped $815.7k), Viktor Blom (who ended up $724.2k under the red line), John R Turk and Kyle Fray. The biggest loser from last week, Ben Tollerene, ended up among the losers yet again, although he didn’t lose that much this time around. He dropped $225.1k.
Perhaps the most spectacular high stakes online poker confrontation of the week was the one between Alex Millar and Viktor Blom, which only lasted for 10 minutes and which saw Millar relieve his opponent of about $273k in just 40 hands.
Following this meltdown, Blom then went on to lose more money to Kyle Fray. That day, Niklas Heinecker was the biggest winner with $300.8k.
