Online Poker Action: Ivey among Losers

For the last few weeks, the high stakes online poker action has been steadily losing momentum, up until the point when Phil Ivey stepped onto the stage. The cash game action that he conjured up saw both Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars come alive again. Sparing no effort, last week Ivey engaged in some good, old-fashioned grinding, generating some $472k in profits and finishing the week as the second most profitable player. This week, he stuck to his earlier pace, but this time Lady Luck decided it was time for him to give some of that money back. This week, Ivey, who is known online by the nickname “Polarizing”, dropped some $357.2k, having logged 4,492 hands spread over 32 different sessions. Ivey’s loses were so impressive in fact that they instantly made him the biggest loser of the week. The second biggest loser, Alex Millar, lost “only” $40.48k, mere pocket change compared to Ivey’s “performance”.

Millar didn’t exactly put in a high volume though: his losses came at the end of 715 hands, for which he only played two sessions. Now that we know who the losers of the week were, who walked away with the goods? Interestingly enough, this week, the biggest winners came from PokerStars. “Terryhsu” was the one who took down the most money: $227.4k to be exact and it took him 56 sessions totaling 8.350 hands to accomplish the feat. Daniel Cates also played at PokerStars and he too took home a rather handsome profit: $188.2k. Both above said players left Full Tilt Poker’s best in the dust this time. The one who took home the most money at Full Tilt was “bbvisbadforme”, who played only 313 hands, but took down $153k.
Full Tilt Poker has always been the best destination for cash game action. Join now, secure your bonus and jump into the fray!
