Online Poker Action – Ivey Loses Big

Viktor Blom has been consumed by the high stakes action at Full Tilt Poker for a last few days, and since he was forced to give up his most profitable cash game player of the year status last week, he had even more poise in trying to reel in the competition. This week however, he fell victim to the variance yet again. At one point he was up a staggering $1.4 million, profits accumulated over the course of a single day. By the time the week came to a close though, he had dropped most of that money and though he finished a winner after all, he only had $133k above the red line.
The one who captured the headlines this week was none other than Phil Ivey, although he did so for all the wrong reasons: he became the week’s biggest loser, after he dropped a total of $685.75k, over 29 different sessions, having logged a total of 2,320 hands. Gus Hansen, who has won a Galway Poker Festival side event this week, was back in the losers’ section online yet again, having dropped $574.7k, over 2,067 hands.
Other big losers were “punting-peddler” and Isaac Haxton. Haxton lost $492.1k.

The winners’ list was spearheaded by “samrostan” who finished $700.7k richer. Ben Tollerene was among the winners as well: he pocketed $481.1k, having played 3,140 hands, spread over 44 different sessions for it.
Kyle Ray finished with a decent profit as well: he took home $400.1k, after 37 sessions of poker, totaling 5,242 hands.
Alex Millar and Hac Dang finished among the winners as well. Patrik Antonius made his return to the online poker tables too, logging a $234.4k profit, which took him only 451 hands spread over 6 sessions to amass.

Play at Full Tilt Poker and enjoy railbirding some of the best high stakes online poker action on the planet.
