Online Poker Action: Luneau Wins Big, Blom Loses

The first week of August is in the books as far as high stakes cash game action is concerned at Full Tilt Poker as well as at PokerStars and the winners and the losers are in. While some of the regulars (like Luneau) did indeed do well, others were on Lady Luck’s bad side.
Sanlker, who was the biggest winner of the previous week, was among the losers this time: he dropped some $198k, but he was far from making the top of the losers’ pops. The biggest loser of the week was Viktor Blom, who had scooped up some $397.5k the week before, and he now gave it all back interest included. In fact, his losses totaled some $976.2k. He arrived to that number having played 8,738 hands, spread over 57 different sessions.
samrostan made the losers’ top as well: he dropped $575.1k. He was joined by Phil Galfond, who lost $475k, and Denoking, who finished the week some $461k under the red line.

Over at
PokerStars, where the cash game action flared up a bit again, Aron0621 turned out to be the biggest loser of the week. He dropped $81.5k, which is nowhere near the losses registered by the above said crowd at Full Tilt, but given the cash game volume disparities between the two sites, it is indeed a rather hefty chunk still.
Vladimir Schemelev was the biggest winner at PokerStars, finishing the week $147k in the black, while Alex Luneau finished the biggest winner over at Full Tilt Poker, with profits totaling some $1.12 million.
Trueteller and Daniel Cates were big winners as well.
