Online Poker Action – mikki696 Kicks off Year on Right Foot

2013 was a superb year for online poker for some people, then again, depending on whom one asks, there are guaranteed to be people out there who will proclaim it downright abysmal. One of these people would definitely be Gus Hansen, the Great Dane who finished 2013 with losses totaling more than $8.4 million. The other end of the spectrum was represented by Germany’s Niklas Heinceker, who finished as the biggest
online poker cash game winner.
Anyway, all that is history now: 2014 saw everyone start with a clean slate, but some players have already cut ahead of the pack profits-wise.
One such player is mikki696, who already has some $400.9k racked up in profits this year. He played 4,264 hands spread over 61 sessions to take down the above said haul.
Ben Tollerene got off to a quick start as well: he has $316k in profits, having played 3,712 hands spread over 37 sessions.
Other big winners are 2Ari Gold, Doorbread and Daniel Cates. Needless to say, all these cash game winners came from
Full Tilt Poker’s tables.
At PokerStars, yurasov1991 is currently the biggest winner, with $179.3k to his name.
He may have started last year on the right foot, but this time around, Viktor Blom is the one highlighting the losers’ list. He is indeed the biggest loser thus far, having dropped $587.5k over 14,224 hands split into 136 sessions. He was also the one who logged the most hands at the virtual tables. Gus Hansen, last year’s biggest loser, had logged some profits at the beginning of 2014, but that’s all ancient history now. He’s firmly back in the “L” column, having dropped some $507k. Patrik Antonius is among the biggest losers too, together with Ola_Amundsgard and Sanlker.
