Online Poker Action – Sahamies Hits the Tables Again

The WSOP and various other summer-related activities kept most of the high-profile
online poker regulars away from the virtual green felt over the last couple of weeks. Ilari Sahamies and Rui Cao could no longer stay away though. They both returned to action last week and they did so with varying results. Sahamies’ return for instance was marred by massive losses. As a matter of fact, the Finn locked up the rather dubious title of biggest loser of the week after he dropped around $151k over 4,425 hands spread over several smaller sessions.
There was another player who got to keep Sahamies company at the top of the losers’ pops: “longerpig” managed to drop $141k over 1,936 hands.
EireAbu was once again the biggest winner of the week: this time he finished with a profit of $144.5k. He was followed by Phisherman36 and Rui Cao, who both finished with significant profits too: Phisherman36 logged 2,910 hands, generating more than $140k in profits, while Cao took home $134.8k.
Alex Millar managed to break past the $100k profit margin too: he finished with a profit of $126k.
Friday saw Alex Millar square off against Ben Sulsky. The bout began under great auspices for Millar, who took Sulsky for about $34k the first time around. During their second match, Sulsky rebounded though and he finished it with a profit of $220k.
On Saturday, Sahamies hit the tables and he put together a rather formidable initial run, finishing as the day’s biggest winner. He logged a profit of $69k, most of which came from EireAbu, who dropped around $64k.
On Sunday, EireAbu turned things over completely though, taking down a profit of $103.5k. Sahamies didn’t do nearly as well this time around.
Cao sprung to prominence on Monday, taking advantage of a relative lull in the pace of the action. Sander Berndsen was the one responsible for most of Cao’s Monday profits.
