Online Poker Action – Sahamies Loses

The high stakes online cash games are finally rolling like they did before the WSOP. All the regulars are there, firing on all cylinders and winning and losing money by the hundreds of thousands. Last week, the biggest loser was Phisherman36, who dropped a quite incredible $775k. Iliari Sahamies had it going well then: he finished the week as the biggest winner, with a profit of $492k to his name. This week, the roles were partly reversed. While Phisherman36 didn’t manage to walk away with the biggest profit, Sahamies did manage to walk away the biggest loser: he dropped $445.3k, almost all his profits from last week, in 1,724 hands spread over 39 sessions. The biggest winner of the week was a player known as ‘longerpig’, who won $710.7k. It is also part of the equation though that he logged a staggering 14,109 hands for it over 126 different sessions. To underline the dominating nature of longerpig’s performance let’s take a look at the man who came second on the winners’ list, Terje Augdal. Augdal took home $280k, after logging 8,192 hands.

Sahemies wasn’t alone on the losers’ list either. kaju85 lost a pretty impressive amount as well: he dropped $428k, money which pretty much ended up in longerpig’s possession.
The week exploded into action on Wednesday, when Jens Kyllonen and Mickan1984 hit the $200/$400 PLO tables. They both walked away winners, each of them shooting right past the $100k mark profits-wise. Ilari Sahamies played too and after a rollercoaster of a day, he finished with not much to show for his efforts, but at least he didn’t lose either. The Finn’s downward slide began on Thursday, when he took on Terje Augdal and lost quite a bit. Augdal finished the day as the biggest winner, having logged a $189k profit.
EireAbu won some dough this week too: he took down $154k to thrust his 2012 profits over the $3 million mark again.
