Online Poker Action – Sander Berndsen Biggest Winner

As the 2012 WSOP is slowly but surely nearing its final stretch, the high stakes online poker action should gather some momentum at least in theory. Well that theory didn’t seem to be working in this instance. Last week, the online action slowed down quite a bit. Despite the thriftier than usual pickings though, some players managed to log pretty impressive profits. Sander Berndsen finished the week the biggest winner: he took down $352k, playing in 106 different sessions and logging 7,661 hands for it.
EireAbu, the overall leader of the yearly online profit-list, played well too: he finished the week with a profit of $303.8k. The losers’ list this week was headlined by Terje Augdal, who somehow managed to drop around $372k over just 34 sessions.
Augdal was followed on the list of shame by TheMatadorCC and PimpyLimpy. Each of these players dropped close to $200k.

EireAbu started his heater on Sunday, when he took on a player known as ChipUniter and Dusan Valenta at the $50/$100 PLO tables. ChipUniter was responsible for about $128k of EireAbu’s Sunday winnings. Valenta pitched in quite properly as well.
The largest pot of the session was a $105k monster, which ended up in EireAbu’s possession after Valenta’s K-high flush draw fell to his flopped nuts.
The second biggest pot of the day was a $77k one and it too landed on EireAbu’s side of the table.

Wednesday was Sander Berndsen’s day: he amassed a profit of no less than $291k.
Berndsen offered a rather multi-faceted performance: he dominated the NLH as well as the PLO tables. Most of his profits came from NLH though where he took on players like Ilari Sahamies and Gozoboro. PimpyLimpy finished as the day’s biggest loser and he was the one responsible for the majority of Berndsen’s Wednesday profits. Other players who finished the week on decent profits were mtvdeuem, altiFC and forhayley.
EireAbu’s profits for 2012 are currently at the $2.95 million mark, having surpassed Ilari Sahamies 2011 haul of $2.18 million already.
