Online Poker Action - Sion Dominates

With the EPT Malta underway, it came as no surprise to anyone that the action slowed down quite a bit at the nosebleed stakes cash game tables at Full Tilt Poker, as well as at PokerStars. While some of the online protagonists went to Malta, others simply used the lull to take a breather. Phil Ivey may have dropped the most money last week, but apparently, he wasn't eager to recoup. He was missing from the online tables and he didn't show up in Malta either. Ilari Sahamies, who currently represents the other end of the spectrum, being the biggest winner of the year thus far, showed up online but only briefly.
Some of the other big names were in action though. Viktor Blom and Phil Galfond, who both logged handsome profits last week, were back at the tables. For Blom, the decision to play turned out to be a rather ill-inspired one, as he ended up the biggest loser of the week, having given back almost all of his last week's profits.
Sign up to Full Tilt Poker and hit their cash game tables: that's where the big boys play and that's where the hottest action is!

Blom dropped some $203.3k and it only took him 1,209 hands spread over 7 sessions to accomplish the feat.
Wherever there are losers, there obviously have to be winners as well and last week none came bigger than Elior Sion. Sion's profits came from PokerStars and they weren't particularly impressive in comparison to what usually takes the laurels in this respect, but they were the biggest nonetheless. Sion pocketed some $172.4k, for which he played only 1,673 hands, spread over 4 different sessions.
On Saturday, Galfond dominated the action at Full Tilt: he finished the day as the biggest winner, with $318.3k. On Sunday, he gave back most of that money though...
