Online Poker Action – Sulsky’s Heater Continues

This week saw plenty of high stakes
online poker action yet again. The one who stole the headlines this time was Ben Sulsky, who finished the week with a $138.1k profit, which may not have been particularly impressive on its own, but given the fact that it gave Sulsky the top spot on the yearly leaderboard, it made plenty of waves indeed.
It was only a week ago that Andrew Grimason locked up the top spot, and he was already dethroned by Sulsky, who has been riding a nice little heater for the past couple of weeks.
Sulsky wasn’t the only one to grab some lime-light this week. Ilari Sahamies was up there again, kicking behinds and taking names and grabbing $347k in a single day. The Finn did give all of that money back though and some more, so in the end, the biggest winner of the week turned out to be a player known by the online moniker ‘Phisherman36’, who took down $272.5k. The second most successful player was ‘muha84’, who finished the week $141.8k above the red line.
Sahamies’ big day came on Thursday, when he played at the $100/$200 and $200/$400 Omaha Hi/Lo tables. The Finn doled out quite a bit of sorrow as he fought his way to a $347k profit in a 7-hour long session. The biggest pot that Sahamies scored was a $127k monster, which ended up in his possession after a 3-way hand against David Eldar and Viktor Blom.
Wherever there are winners though, there have to be losers as well. The biggest loser of the week was Benny Spindler, who dropped $169.3k. He played 22 sessions, logging a total of 914 hands. LhhmMaoly lost big too. He made second place on the list of shame, behind Spindler, having dropped $141.9k in just 382 hands, spread over 11 sessions. Viktor Blom made the losers’ top 5 too, together with Sahamies, who managed to burn through all his profits.
