Online Poker Action – Trickett Dominates

PokerStars’ nosebleed stakes cash game tables represent a rather exclusive club at the site. While every now and then a new face does drop in, the cast is generally the usual one. After all, there aren’t that many people world over who can afford to absorb six or even seven figure swings on a weekly basis at the online poker tables. Last week however, a whole bunch of new players hit the high stakes tables, among them Sam Trickett, who seems to have everything going for him lately. Indeed, Tricket didn’t skip a beat last week, finishing with a profit of $382.7k, enough to give him the biggest winner of the week title. He played 40 sessions totaling 4.1k hands. Second on the winners’ list was another new face: a player known as “ocropTi”, who finished the week with a profit of $295.1k. Doug Polk made the winners’ list as well. Vladimir Shchmelev and a player known as M.O.P. also made the ‘+’ column.

The regulars played as well, only this time around, they seemed to mostly end up on the other end of the spectrum. The biggest loser of the week was wilhasha, who finished $265.3k under the red line. Another notable who made the losers’ list was Ben Tollerene who fell by $193.5k.

Sam Trickett’s big day was Friday, when he hit the $20/$40 and $100/200 PLO tables. He put in about 2.1k hands, and won $296k, well enough to give him the biggest winner if the day title. He was the beneficiary of the three biggest pots of the day too.
The NL Holdem tables saw plenty of action as well: on Sunday, WCGRider hit the $100/$200 NL Holdem tables, taking on none other than wilhasha. Doug Polk, the player behind the WCGRider moniker, performed a two-pronged fleecing of his opponent, taking $80k from him first, and then $65k in their second session. Sahamies played some PLO too on Monday, finishing the day with a $166k profit.
