Online Poker – Berndsen, Blom, Sahamies in Action

Last week was a great week for high stakes online poker action – at least for some. PokerStars’ Ville Wahlbeck will definitely remember the week fondly: he logged 3,822 hands, generating a $190,810 profit, which made him the biggest winner of the week. Jens Kyllonen and Ben Sulsky made the winners’ circle too. Kyllonen won about $170k in 9,115 hands, while Sulsky played much more efficiently: he finished $166k above the red line in a mere 918 hands.
Davin Georgi will definitely remember last week too, although for entirely different reasons than the above said bunch. He finished the biggest loser, having dropped $235.6k in 11.5k hands. Ben Tollerene finished the week with a significant loss as well and Viktor Blom joined the list of shame too, having been relieved of about $105k.

Georgi’s week didn’t start off badly at all. He hit the $50/$100 PLO tables on Sunday and he finished the day’s biggest winner. He went to bed about $70k richer, mostly courtesy of Rafi Amit. The biggest pot that Georgi picked up on Sunday was a $58.2k whooper, for which Sam Trickett was largely responsible, although Jens Kyllonen contributed too.
Monday was the day Sander Berndsen and Viktor Blom would lock horns again. The $100/$200 PLO tables were the scene of the battle and the action lasted almost all day long. The tussle was like a tug-of-war with none of the two competitors able to gain a decisive advantage over the other. Eventually, Berndsen did finish about $300k up, which wasn’t shabby at all, but almost all of his profits came during the last 30 minutes of their day-long bout.
The biggest pot of the confrontation – a $151k monster - went to Blom. During this time, Blom also dropped significant amounts of money to Jens Kyllonen and Ville Wahlbeck. Wahlbeck took about $244k from him, while Kyllonen booked a profit of $97k.
