PartyPoker Announces 400 New Weekly Tournaments

PartyPoker have been on an offensive lately on several fronts, and while focusing on all sorts of newly regulated markets, they did not forget to do a little bit of a cleanup in their own back yard too. That cleanup consisted in the overhauling of their tournament structure, which means that PartyPoker players will get to play in no fewer than 400 new tournaments, which cover a wide range of buy-ins.
Getting recreational players hooked is obviously among the top objectives of every online poker operator and
PartyPoker’s latest tournament schedule update is a move in that direction as well: some of the newly introduced tournaments feature buy-ins as low as $0.50.
The true innovation of the update was the introduction of a mission-reward system, which sets certain – easier or more difficult - goals for players, rewards them for the accomplished missions and thus helps them improve their games in an engaging and entertaining way.
While recreational players will obviously enjoy the new games, the battle-hardened pros and semi-pros at the site have something to celebrate as well: some of the Sunday majors have been moved to weekdays, so high buy-in/high prize-pool action shall now be available more readily.
As far as these major tournaments are concerned, there are now no fewer than 50 of them running through the week and they didn’t even come at the expense of the Sunday line-up. The Sunday selection of majors has been touched up as well and there are now more bounty tournaments than before.
The Saturday line-up has been shaken up completely. There are all sorts of Omaha tournaments running now, together with Turbo events and 6-max ones, covering an even larger range of buy-ins. Recreational players will now be able to play in events costing only $1 to enter.
The WPT Steps Challenge offers players an easy way into some of the richest live poker events out there.
Sign up to PartyPoker now and get an up-close taste of their new tournament selection.
