PartyPoker have been vying to return to the US online poker market ever since they agreed to withdraw following the 2006 UIGEA, and one of their founders settled with the DoJ, forfeiting large sums of money to the US government. Back then, the moves were all justified through the lens of a potential future return of the brand to the US market. Lo and behold: the future PartyPoker officials have been hoping for since the above said events has arrived. On Monday, November 26, 2013, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement director David Rebuck has made the launch of
real money online poker and gambling in the Garden State official, by handing out approvals to 6 land-based Atlantic City casinos. The said operators had all teamed up with various - already well-established – online platforms, and
PartyPoker happen to be one of these online operators.
Thusly, beginning with November 26, all residents of the Garden State aged 21 and above can log on to nj.partypoker.com and start playing in real money online poker cash games and tournaments.
As a consequence of the legalization drive initiated by New Jersey State Senator Raymond Lesniak, PartyPoker’s US ordeal has finally come full-circle: albeit not in its pre-2006 form, the site is back and it is eager to start serving US customers again.
Nj.partypoker.com offers cash games and tournaments 24/7 and it comes complete with PartyPoker’s own version of fast-folding poker, called FastForward. According to Mike Sexton, one of the top members of PartyPoker’s team of professional players, the brand’s return to the US will go down as a landmark moment in the history of online gaming.
Besides the above said cash games and tournaments, PartyPoker are already pushing their first Sunday major, a $50k guaranteed, NL Holdem affair. In addition to online poker, PartyPoker will offer casino games too, featuring a jackpot which has been started at $1 million.
