If one had any doubts about just how thorough a root online poker/online gaming would sprout in New Jersey, the time to toss those doubts out the window is probably now. PartyPoker have been busy bringing about the second golden age of the operation lately, and with a recently announced deal which has them teaming up with the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and the NHL’s New Jersey Devils, those efforts have finally come to fruition.
Josh Harris, of Apollo Global Management – the owner of the 76ers and the Devils – and bwin.party’s Norbert Teufelberger, made the announcement the other day that the two companies have teamed up and that the Devils and the 76ers will thus become the official online gaming partners of
PartyPoker.
The sponsorship deal will see advertisements put up at the Wells Fargo Center and at Prudential Center, there will be radio and TV ads and there will apparently be employees in both the above said arenas, looking to explain
the concept of online poker to fans of the above said two sports teams.
According to Teufelberger, unlike in Europe, in the US, the opportunities to engage fans in various sports venues abound, because everything is so much more interactive.
The partnership will be a two-way one of course. Players at nj.partypoker.com will be able to take part in a series of promotions which will award VIP and courtside tickets, to both New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia 76ers games.
The name of the promotion is “Dream Seat Series” and everyone will be able to take part in it. New players who make a real money deposit are automatically entered, while existing players will be able to take part just by playing in real money games and racking up FPPs. There will be daily freerolls providing a path to the Dream Seat Series too.
Play at PartyPoker and take part in their generous promotions. Win your 2014 WSOP seat through one of their online qualifiers.
