PartyPoker's Double Hold’em - New Poker Variation

Party Poker has a new weapon to deal with competitors’ new features like Full Tilt Poker’s Rush Poker – it’s called Double Hold’em and you get 3 cards instead of 2!

It seems poker rooms are trying to be innovative lately and PartyPoker’s not one to stay behind. The new game to appear in Party’s poker variations arsenal is Double Hold’em, which is basically Texas Hold’em with 3 hole cards with some twists.

Each player gets 3 hole cards and action ensues regularly just like in Texas Hold’em until the first 3 community cards are dealt. After the flop is dealt however, each player must assign a point-card (one of the 3 hole cards). Once picked, the point card takes position in the middle of the pocket cards and is raised slightly. From then on each player has two pocket hands – one with the point-card and the hole-card on its left, and another using the point-card and the hole-card on its right. After the turn and the river are dealt, the strongest of the two pocket hands will be used as the player’s final hand.

Sounds interesting? Read on with our full review of Double Hold’em.
