Patrik Antonius vs Rui Cao – Round 1

Ding! Ding! Bring it on! - Patrik Antonius and Rui Cao have apparently developed something of a poker grudge at Full Tilt Poker’s tables during these last few days. Such feuds are always entertaining for at least one of the parties involved and for the hundreds, possibly thousands of railbirds chiming in from the sidelines. Guys like Antonius and Cao know all too well that they need to put their money on the line instead of a shouting match, which is exactly what they did, agreeing to a $1 million challenge match, which has already kicked off at Full Tilt Poker. The whole thing was initiated by Cao, who got thoroughly fleeced and frustrated by his opponent at the Triple Draw tables about a week ago.
Cao used the chat-box to invite his opponent to undertake a three-stage challenge match against him, which would see the two match skills in 2-7 Triple Draw, Pot Limit Omaha and No Limit Holdem.

Their No Limit Holdem and PLO matches would both feature prize pools of $350,000 while their 2-7 Triple Draw match would see them duke it out for a total of $300,000. Apparently the first stage of the challenge is already complete. The two players sat down the other day and played about 350 hands of Triple Draw, at the end of which Cao had all the money in the game piled up in front of him. It was indeed a rather amazing comeback from Cao, who thus not only earned a significant amount of money, but managed to the exact some sweet revenge too.
Buoyed by his success, Cao was then seen at the PLO tables, playing against Viktor Blom, in possible preparation for the second leg of his $1 million online poker challenge against Patrik Antonius.
