Phil Ivey Piles up Losses

With the 2015 WSOP in full swing, the majority of the poker professionals who make up the high stakes online cash game action week after week, are in Las Vegas, looking for a break at the live tables for a change. Every year, some of these high-profile headliners choose to stay online though, and this time around, it was Phil Ivey who went down this path. While he will probably show up at the WSOP in time for the Main Event, last week he was still in Macau and he was still logging action at PokerStars as well as at Full Tilt Poker. He wasn't pulling any punches either: he took down the biggest pot of the year at PokerStars, but he ended up under the red line by about $285k still. This week, he didn't fare any better. In just six different sessions totaling some 3.3k hands, he dropped close to $720k, enough to become the biggest loser of the week.
Play at PokerStars and watch the heavyweights go at it at the cash game tables in real time. The high stakes cash game action has flared up quite a bit at the site lately.

Ivey was so far away the biggest loser this week that the person second on the losers' list, a player known as "asthma" only dropped $161k. Ben Sulsky and Viktor Blom finished the week as losers too, though they only dropped $115k and $87.4k respectively.
As far as the winners are concerned, the biggest one was Cort Kibler-Melby, who ended up on the receiving end of most of the money Ivey lost. It's not clear how much Kibler-Melby took from Ivey though as he too had opted out of having his results tracked. Thus, officially, the biggest winner was "fjutekk" who took down some $118k.
